December recommendation for no one in particular: You’re a Mean One, Matthew Prince by Timothy Janovsky. Matthew is cut off and is sent to live with his grandparents. To end his banishment early, he partners with a man unimpressed by his name to throw the best Christmas Gala. A terrific romcom!

November book recommendation for no one in particular:

We Used to Live Here by Marcus Kliewer

A wild story about a family whose life is uplifted when their new home’s previous occupant owners shows up unannounced. Twisted in the best way, I was left second guessing my own life.

I enjoyed my time writing from Earthbound/Mother 3’s Pokey Minch’s perspective, the tragic tale of a boy who just wanted a friend. So many other great articles in this Read Only Magazine as well, all about retro gaming and this article’s theme, “Friend.”
