Just finished the audiobook version read by the incredible Steven Pacey. Best debut I’ve read in a long time. More so when you think it’s self published. Terrific stuff if I may say so. It’s a character driven book that reminds me a lot of @joeabercrombie.bsky.social ‘s masterpieces.

CVS is now showing Halloween products (including sweets) 2 months and 10 days before time (photos taken a few days ago). That’s closer to the usual timing here. I remember last year Costco was already showing Xmas products after Halloween.
