Good question! I like the immediacy of present tense - it flows nicely especially for my story, which is third person limited, almost entirely focused on one character (no multiple povs). Good thoughts though, thanks.

That's awesome. I'm at almost 27,000 words, which is about as far as I've ever gotten... Middles are hard.

It's definitely a chance to explore the world a bit more and get a feel for it! The game has forced me to map out more towns and locations in detail, which will spill back to the book.
