When you examine the average person, the type who probably isn’t on Bluesky (which is most people), they are likely pretty politically illiterate and repulsed by the idea of politics. The average person prefers pop culture. For years, that was a semi-liberal pipeline. Now it’s a conservative one

This has been the conservative end game for years, to take over the main communication platforms, entertainment industry, pop culture, etc. The internet and social media in particular gave them the infrastructure to do it and their opposition didn’t understand or care to stop it in time

The funding of wars and genocides will be the tip of the iceberg from this point on. Which is already normalized. Americans have created a monster that many will sadly have to be fed to due to their individualism, bigotry, misogyny, selfishness, and most of all STUPIDITY.

For the next years, build community with people with shared values and remove yourself from spaces that cater and acquiesce to the right-wing social world order. And yes, this includes family and friends. There’s no ‘middle ground’ for the cruelty and depravity that we will be witnessing & enduring.

Individualism will always be the downfall of any society. I pray for all lives. But especially those whose lives are often deep disposable or ‘less worthy’ of care.

No man should materially benefit from speaking out against sexism and misogyny. Imagine a white person getting awarded for being anti-racist? The fact that he managed to do this for so many years speaks volume. Society’s hatred of women is what allows men like this to thrive.
