The more people oppose abortion (that is, agree with statements like "abortion is murder"), the more they like policies like punishment and abstinence-only--but the *less* they like comprehensive sex ed

Further, among the most extreme abortion opponents (i.e., those with the maximum score on our abortion opposition measure) gave significantly higher support to the punishment and abstinence-only bills than they did to the comprehensive sex education bill.

We find that (a) abortion opposition is associated with greater support for bills that prevent abortions by discouraging casual sex (punishment and abstinence-only bills), but somewhat decreased support for the bill that facilitates casual sex (comprehensive sex education).

Lots of people I know got sick last week, starting Monday. On October 30, across the world there were huge increases in searches for COVID (4x as the day before), flu (nearly 4x), and common cold (1.5x), just on that day. You see the same thing in most countries I tested, even southern hemisphere
