Fast forward a few cycles and we see things that totally belie pundit and consultant conventional wisdom about how to message to a supposedly low information electorate, like the many yard signs I saw in rural areas last year emphasizing the importance of “Protecting Title IX.”

Also, politics knowers conveniently forget that the “bathroom bill” cost a swing state R governor reelection as recently as 2016!

NC’s Republican governor just conceded his election. He can probably blame his own anti-LGBTQ law.
The anti-transgender bathroom law the state passed seriously damaged Gov. Pat McCrory’s reputation.

The magnetism point made by ASO finally engages with something frustrating about popularism prescriptions: they never acknowledge that what they’re recommending resembles the post-2012 RNC autopsy approach on immigration that so clearly was not the key to subsequent R electoral success.
