I sneak in Easter eggs in pretty much all I do and see how long it takes for people to notice. It’s been about 2 months of submitting a status report weekly to managers and no one has said a thing on this 😂

If you’re curious about what happens when you realize at the literal last minute of the day and you press your answer a second after 11:59. 🤣 didn’t even see it switch to the next day 😂

The bendix was stuck open. I got it back to its normal position by using a bench grinder with a wire wheel attached. It provided enough centrifugal force to reset it. However, the bearings were toast, so installed my spare starter. While I was doing all of this installed new battery terminals.

Hillsboro towing to the rescue! We pulled it out in verse over a mile and half of mud, then had it towed back to my place, where we rolled it into my yard.

Brought out my 4runner after all the rain. What normally is a 5 min drive turned into 30 mins of mud. Testing the starter solenoid and realizing that even with a tarp, I won’t be able to install the new starter in current position.

My starter motor went out a couple weeks ago while fishing. Had to leave the truck there four days due to the rain and mud. Pulled out by a skid steer. New starter is in and now I am timid to drive it 🤣 Here are some pics

Feeling very grateful. For the last couple of years, I’ve been Product Owner of a special project and we can finally talk about it. Introducing Homescreen launching first on the new RAV4 and coming to future Toyota and Lexus models.

Saturday was great. Spent the morning wrenching to explore dirt roads and in the afternoon.

Anyone else do this?

Yeap, bearing failure. Also look at this little logo on the fan spacer! Old school manufacturing is something else.

Since I’m in the process of putting new wood in for the bed of the truck, I thought I’d tackle the crazy wiring. It all works, but you can see wires dangling, so thought I’d try something new a make a wiring harness. Spent some time in figjam and here’s the results.

Found some Royal Yacht from 22 in my cellar and breaking in a unsmoked Brebbia from about 10 years ago. A great way to bring in the new year.

Couldn’t do this at all before.

The steering wheel needed a impact wrench to get it off, so spent some time with a file and some rethread taps. A picture of halfway through and after.

It’s been one of those days 😂 I thought I would have windows back in after a month of waiting for the part that just broke.

In the words of poet laureate Quavo “Better not step on the driveway, Georgia boys pulling out sideways, in the south we ball, how bout them dawgs!”

I’m going through it! The brake booster check valve was broken, so I replaced that and then tuned my carb again. Going to buy a new fuel pump and if that doesn’t work, then I’m rebuilding the carb tonight. 🤣
