I bought Speed Queen "commercial" grade clothes washer and dryer. Definitely no frills, but when I told the gal at the appliance store that I wanted something that would outlive me (mid 50's), that's what she recommended. So far so good, knocking on wood!!

Uh, if a country doesn't invest in education it's citizens will not be educated. And I'm not just talking about engineers. In my north central IN town, the public school offered auto shop, drafting, shop class, etc. back in the 80's. That kind of stuff is gone. It's all "teaching to the test".
