Does that logic not apply to every bit of technology we use? The reality is that the job of the coder now is to apply logic and test. To code the normal way is now artisanal.

The opposite. It is survival. Coding is the fun part of the work but its going the way of the dodo. We would not be able to meet our deadlines if we did not use AI.

This study is from early 2025 which means it does not take into account the massive leap forward that chatgpt 5.0 was. Also it focuses on experienced developers not the whole developer community.

Wishful thinking. Writing code is one of the things ai does best. Its regretful that it takes so much compute power, but its undeniable. Of course you still need good programmers to write good specs, but if you dont use ai you simply waste time.
