My mom is dyslexic and she's told me she couldn't really read until she taught me to with hooked on phonics. Its boring yea, but it objectively works way better than anything else

Think comparing the actions of a genocidal state to this is a bit of an exaggeration, to say the least. I dont have much experience in using my penis but it still seems to work fine despite losing a little off the top. Again its very bad and should be banned but that isnt really comparable to, yknow

I mean to be clear yeah slicing off babies' skin should be banned, but y'know, i doubt the actual cabal of pedophiles in government like rfk care, if anything the fact that circumcision is child mutilation is a reason for them to like it, its part of why them doing this is so weird to me

Yeah without a doubt. It also feels like, weirdly old school anti-semitism. Almost everybody here is circumcised, its not just a Judaism thing. I think the mechanics have good bones, I like the feeling of progression, the combat (excepting magic) lacking feedback for misses I think is the main issue. Like with kenshi you also start as a schmuck and end as a god but you actually see your hits get parried or connect, and that adds a whole lot

I never thought I was good enough at to try to pursue it, I just settled for delivery jobs. Unionized delivery jobs or trades arent so bad (provided your able-bodied), even though I don't really feel attatched to what I do I can at least take pride in helping people and doing something essential

You can't "build a society" on most industries, that doesnt mean, say, accountants arent important. I think its fine to be a bit suspicious of the richer "content creators" for the same reason you would any member of the petit-bourgeoisie, but I dont feel like we need to go that hard on poor artists

And just like the originals, our own freikorps is having an increasingly large influence in government, and we cannot imagine the horrors they will inflict when capital lets them loose against us

The US receives practically everything it could possibly ever ask for, it *wants* national conscription, what military official wouldn't? it cannot *have* national conscription because, like we saw in vietnam, it is catastrophic for the stability of the army and the country as a whole

This MEANS inflicting horrors on people, and—if you rely on conscription—it means forcing the wider population of your country to confront it directly, which is going to cause dissent if you fight as many wars as the US does, and if you fight them against the kind of people the US fights

First heard puff the magic dragon in grade school, and peter, paul, and mary were a gateway into the less commercial side of folk music, but like, that seems pretty unimportant compared to the fact that peter yarrow was a pedophile that got away basically scott free for it

Different environments; it's harder to farm in the desert than it is on a floodplain, human nature doesn't have anything to do with it. In a more modern situation, someone born to a rich family who gets a good education is going to be richer than someone from a poor family who couldn't go to school
