I follow an ex-IDF (to be fair, who in Israel isn't...) Israel-critical Jew on threads and it seems that the main reason for most of the criticism is that he's unable to recognize lies by omission. Welp, I'll continue my search for good counter-arguments...

You really don't understand how poverty works, do you? And how systems are being used in practice. How would you fix this? By taking the underpaid workers away from Walmart, one of the biggest abusers of this system? I agree that they should pay people better, but that does mean you'll pay more too.

Exactly. You fully get it. When SNAP gets retracted, it means that these jobs won't be filled, because people doing them can't make ends meet even with the money they get. So enjoy the result of you being right! The cornerstone jobs of the US will go without workers.

If it didn't exist, there would be no reason for anyone to accept low paying jobs like this, and the businesses that rely on this wouldn't be able to attract low paid workers. Because under a certain limit of payment, it's better not to have a job than to be underpaid. SNAP slightly lowers this.

This has nothing to do with anyone owing anything to anyone. I was talking about the reason SNAP was invented, and why the department of agriculture pays it out. It's an agricultural subsidy, not a pity payment. It's a way for US agriculture to remain competitive. It has an economic reason to exist.

Foi piada com o jeito que muita gente fala sobre isso, contando com isso que a influência brasileira nos dados que informam a tradução das coisas faladas é significativa, e por isso resulta muito melhor do que pronúncia portuguesa, que se calhar nem deve estar incluída nos dados usados para isto.

In general the more I play Blue Prince, the more I have huge respect for the design decisions in this game. Literally, you can ask people to just trust the game because it has accounted for everything. Not everything is given early, and that's more and more clearly by design.
