Yeah, there's lots of mass stupidity in social media. So far as I can tell, many think you must be evil/wrong because you're rich.
These are probably the same people who think Musk, because he's an immature, asshole, white supremacist can't also be an amazing entrepreneur and rocket engineer.

Isn’t it still the most important criterion that voters understand and feel comfortable with whatever system is used? It has to be perceived to be fair.

Well, it depends a lot on whether you can charge at home. My daughter is struggling a bit with her (used to be my) 2017 Model 3. She lives in an apartment in Minneapolis and this is her first winter there. Charge runs out fast.
