Stacks of color stretch across the canvas in this painting by Jon Woodhams. Each stripe, or strata, is a different color, with a loose spontaneous pattern of colors climbing the canvas like a ladder, and each strata displays a subtly different texture. The colors from my mustard yellow to ultramarine and includes several shades of green, purple, and burnt orange.
