I’m a writer and artist living in the Southern Connecticut River Valley. Lived in NYC, LA, and Vegas but New England is the only place that’s ever been home.

I rewatched Outside Providence last week. I hadn’t seen that film since it was released in 1999. What a great flick. There are a few parts that have poor word choices (it is set in 1974), but it didn’t get the recognition it deserved. I highly recommend tracking it down and giving it your attention.

Finished Fugitive Telemetry & Network Effect by Martha Wells. Forgot to get a pic of book 6 on account of just plain not remembering to do it. But these installments in The Murderbot Diaries are fantastic. Anyone looking for a new scifi series should put it on the list.

Book 4 of The Murderbot Diaries, Exit Strategy, by Martha Wells is excellent. Toddler approved!

Rogue Protocol, Book 3 of Martha Wells Murdebot Diaries, is the best one yet! And they have all been great. Thank you @gregoryawilson.com for suggesting I invest my time into this series!

I’ve had many conversations surrounding how to handle the books I own that shaped my love for reading and storytelling that were written by terrible people. I have decided to make a ‘forbidden section’ on my bookshelf where those books will live, for now.

This year has been one of the most productive ever when it comes to reading. Well over a 100 books. I’m a stay at home parent so most are picture books but I’m taking the W. With only three words, Jez Alborough’s Hug delivers more of a roller coaster of emotion than most novels I have read. Ever.

Be suspicious of simple answers and even more so of people who wear their credulity with pride.

We never wanted Batfleck, but we need The Bencountant. Give us the trilogy we deserve.

The world would be a more entertaining place if Samuel L. Jackson had been cast just once as a Klingon.

The world would be a better place if Samuel E. Wright had recorded Homer’s The Odyssey in his voice of Sebastian.

Mallrats is my favorite Easter movie with The Last Temptation of Christ in a close second.

Don’t you just love how the people who wanted school open during the pandemic think we don’t need a Department of Education?

Broke 50,000 words on my WIP! And it has a beginning, middle and an end. #booksky

Back in October I released my fourth novel. Gothic New England Horror that follows the tragic life of a 350 year old Werepig named Hank Kelsey. More often than not after a full moon, he wakes up in a puddle of blood. And it’s not his. #booksky

Everyone should carry a bandana in their back pocket. Possibly the most useful and used EDC item that has been with me since I was 19 years old. I’ve also buried at least a dozen along I80 across the USA cause rest stops with bathrooms gets patchy in some parts.

I’ve been seeing lots of posts looking for inspiration to be creative. I could be a realist & say social media isn’t the place to look but instead I’ll be a ray of frickin’ sunshine & say go for a walk, a hike, listen to some music, go to a museum, take a late night drive or simply watch the clouds.

Carry a Zippo. Not just a lighter, but a Zippo. Learn to take care of it and keep it filled. Not only will you always be prepared to light birthday candles, but when you have to drop a duece the person who uses the restroom after will appreciate you lighting that zippo for a few before you left.

If you have radiators in your home, put the socks you plan to wear the next day on the radiator before going to bed. You’re welcome.

After a 20 year hiatus, I sat in on a figure drawing class. My shoulder is sore.
