Here’s the Pi 5 responding to a request to explain Brownian Motion through the Open-WebUI interface accessed from my iPhone. Slow but so cool.

So, this weekend I decided to set up an AI chatbot server using an open-source AI called Ollama. It’s similar to ChatGPT, but I own the server and have full control over the software and information I give it. Why? Because it’s cool.

I have a Hantek 6022 PC connected scope and I did a mod I found on the Internet to add AC coupling to the scope. I chose to do a surface mount homemade PCB for the mod. Here’s a picture and a screenshot of a 40 kHz, 10 mV sine wave with a 5V DC offset being captured in AC coupled mode.

So I found my notes from studying for my PE and probably got overly excited about it today.

I spent some time tonight configuring the Xiegu X6100 for use with WSJTX. I successfully upgraded the firmware, and now it supports CAT control and an audio over USB connection over a single USB-C cable. It’s all ready to activate POTA with SSB phone and FT8. It’s such a cool little radio.
