Not excusing it, but this is pretty much what the media does to every black persona gunned down or otherwise killed by police. Or by a vigilante.

It’s really something that this guy did this in broad daylight on a busy street, exposed his face on camera, left shell casings, dropped his backpack, took an e-bike, flirted with a receptionist and used an uncommon gun that should be easily traceable. And the NYPD let him get completely away
