So let me get this straight (and correct me if wrong).

OpenAI used non-profit status to gain massive amounts of data for modeling. Using laws and regulations to scrub and store data for "research".

But now they've pivoted to for-profit, using the same exact data they obtained for other purposes.

This stock photo cracks me up. It's showcasing the most obvious photoshopped bbq cover, while there is another bbq present, and the dude is bbq'ing veggies while it's clearly not on. All in the middle of their lawn.
