I like travel when I can, day outs in nature, Photography, film, eating out or good food; I am looking to have more leisure pursuits, say, see the Elgin Marbles before they go to Greece. I like reading all sorts.
Trump & Putin's Peace Plan, is about getting Ukraine to
share in appeasement of Putin, be subservient to his
power hunger, so he & USA share up the peace spoils of a trade deal so corrupt it sells out NATO, Europe, Ukraine , and makes Russia The Emperor of European continent.

Lewis Goodhall reckons he's been 'thrown under the bus by the judges': OK, he's bottom of the dancer's table this week; but is it-leak-wise- him being voted off in a dance off? Surely not!

Anthony Beever: " This is the thing about the Russians, they treat their own forces as badly as they treat the enemy;" this could be applied to Labour and its backbenchers; we know it applies to Trump and US citizens; or Trump and the way he treats Zelensky as opposed to how he treats Putin &

Zarah Sultana on Kuenssberg's show, explaining what went wrong, teething issues in founding a new party, and what she meant by 'nationalizing the economy'. One thing I'll say about the newer parties, including the Greens, they're not shy about explaining their ideas & vision, showing their divisions,

Ever got the feeling that you were in the middle of a scam?
A burly Irish-sounding builder knocked on my door, said 1 of my roof tiles had dropped into the upper gutter, could he(they) put it back again? He said it would costs £12.50. His younger mate
went up the ladder and said he'd put it back, but

#QuestionTime on only immigration, because it was Kent. Again Zia Usuf Reform on, loud-voiced going on about immigration, barracking other speakers, talking over them, Using rhetoric as a weapon of aggression to plough through every nuance, qualification, sign of humanity. Not one

Martin Lewis looked like a golden hind on Peston: he looks baffled that the politicians don't understand figures, mental arithmetic, and he really explains in detail the outcome of budgetary measures, on young & old alike . He really is a national treasure: he works things out on the spot.

Putin, the spy who came in from the cold. is not only testing NATO's resolve( in the absence of US support),but provoking it into war( to prove in his eyes it's a war m/c); Trump sleeping on the job. While non-European Russia exists with imperial ambitions, NATO must stand its ground.

Starmer heading off Storm Badenoch in the aftermath of the Budget : Baddy is feeling her oats in last 2 weeks and smiling with a growl, backed up by her party. She wants not only Reeves to be sacked but an inquiry into Reeves' misleading markets: lifting of 2 Child Benefit Cap will win the day.

Putin threatening nuclear war with Europe is a small reminder to far left parties, that to oppose NATO puts Europe's head in the Tiger's mouth, especially as Putin's new emboldened negotiating ,all or nothing, stance to keep fighting, now he's winning. Just be careful what you wish for.

Darren Jones gave his own rendition of what Robinson cites " Black hole": he said there was a "funding gap" which necessitated the Chancellor's decision to freeze taxes, put up the fiscal headroom, fund the NHS, take care of child poverty: it's like a difference between Newtonian

While they're putting on the film Gladiator for the umpteenth time, bloated, rhetorical, over inflated, watching The Eagle, showing the troubles the 9th legion had with the Picts above Hadrian's Wall, makes much better viewing: angry, violent, aggressive, acting, story-line, superior fare.

The best ever version of The Great Gatsby with Robert
Redford, Mia Farrow and Bruce Dern, was on Sky Arts:
lavish, immaculate, well acted, directed by Jack Clayton. This has not been on TV for at least 2 decades. Farrow is not my idea of Daisy, but she was good. Redford superb,

Strictly: the dance off proved me right, the bottom 2 scores were dancing to survive: they both gave immaculate
performances, no faults, but Balvinder got through, with a little more spice; I loved Alex/JoJo, they were a heaven-sent partnership, but went out at the right time for them. Well done!

Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings, or emotion recollected in tranquillity. Wordsworth.
I felt this myself this last week-end by talking of a buried thought/memory( something I don't usually do) to friends and suddenly becoming tearful. Iwas surprised. Is emotion action?

Strictly sacrificed sense for nonsense- a bit of spontaneous fun- with the instant dance, and frankly the points Balvinder made 5 didn't raise her up enough from being in the bottom two with Alex, this week: these two are destined for the dance off: Balvinder will survive it as Alex was very weak.

So Labour Budget was to save Starmer's & Reeves's skin; let down manifesto promises on 1) not raise taxes on working people( with the 3 year freeze); and let down of worker's rights to unfair dismissal on day 1( extended to 6 months). End of cap on 2 child benefits has been Labour's goal.

Kasparov is great at seeing situations which change the balance of power from the safety of post war institutions to the despotic new world order: he sees Europe as pieces in a chess game, every wrong move will lead from defiant to weakness and ultimate defeat. Sanctions are the

Your Party has foundered on the issue of leadership,
they have become a party of Trotskyists, not pure socialists; meanwhile outside the conference are the pure socialists who like anarchists are saying they don't have leaders. Zak Polanski is a leader who is not in charge. Not in charge,

Salman Rushdie on Desert Island Discs chose The Stones, Bob Dylan and Paul Simon: he never did get our culture, hence him going to America; his choices show an elitist, middle class pick: he never chose The Beatles, probably the greatest phenomenon in pop music,1st group to generate theirownmythology

The 28 point plan and the deadline is squeaky bum time: for Europe & Ukraine; it follows on from Trump saying Europe needs to pay more for NATO; it follows on from US withdrawing intelligence/arms from Ukraine for 2 days: Trump is the blunt lever of US isolation; Ukraine is losing, so is Europe,

If you get a chance to see any film, see Drunken Master,
where the young Jackie Chan dances in the newer Ku Fu

Strictly at Blackpool: a good night, La Voix out, but really
it makes it better for the other dancers who dance: a good show, Balvinder marvellous, Lewis extraordinary, Karen magnificent, George boy wonder, Amber stupendous; a great atmosphere- no dance off! Lovely tributes celebrities to
dancers.
