I have never had a musical experience involving Craig that hasn’t astounded, inspired and baffled me

I started with Light Made Lighter many moons ago and I still think it stands up. Junk Magic is a gem. Love Avenging Angel too.

My friend went and bootlegged it on his minidisc recorder. It came out incredibly distorted and somehow that gave a sense of the physicality of the sound

Probably my biggest regret never seeing him live. He died before I moved to London. Passed up a chance to see him in Buxton because I had some gig that felt important at the time. Didn’t realise that was my last chance.

There aren’t enough superlatives in the world…

This is similar to the phenomenon whereby pieces of musical equipment, once they reach a certain critical mass, conspire amongst themselves to make you buy more of them.
