That’s the problem - I don’t think he was “trying to wreck lives” he was pushing what he believed in. I don’t agree with it, but there are plenty of people all over the world who have dated, short-sighted views - should they all be mocked and shunned? No, they should be countered with better ideas.

I understand that those viewpoints can be harmful to certain parts of the population but that doesn’t mean he deserved to die for them. He should have been debated and countered, which he always welcomed. His death shouldn’t be seen as “oh well” because he had ideas that people didn’t like.

That is quite the spin on what Charlie believed in and advocated for. I personally don’t agree with his politics, but that doesn’t mean he was some monster who only espoused evil, as you’re implying here.

Gladly hurt others? He shared his political view points and pushed for what he believed in. You may disagree with his politics but that doesn’t mean he “gladly hurt others.”
