Why did I dream this?

Upon investigation, the guy decided the product was a dud and had decided not to invest. However, he was multitasking and was also moving money around in some of his firm's accounts and somehow ended up investing $16 billion in the Rower 3.
The concierge was able to cancel that transaction for him.

I asked the concierge what that was about, and he explained that the guy worked at some venture capital firm that was looking to invest in a company that had plans to produce an AI-powered fully autonomous robot lawn mower called the Rower 3.
"Rower" for "Robot Mower" pronounced "Roar."

I don't know. Never read it, but the idea of it has lived in my head rent-free since I saw in a bookstore over 30 years ago.
