Christmas reminds us that the power of evil is diminishing. Instead of fueling the fires of lying, hatred, deception, greed, selfishness, we should starve those fumes. Instead we should embrace hope, joy, truth, faithfulness, generosity, and love.

We are often forced to venture into our own kind of Mirkwood Forest. It is dangerous. It is frightening. It feels endless.
