Just some bloke who happens to like many MANY things. Proud to be a part of a new platform. Always enjoys good company and discussing new and exciting things happening around the world in a positive and informing manner.
TOo early to care, as this is all we have, and honesty too tired to warrant any emotion right now.

Just let me make it through Fallout season 2 and finally to whatever Amazon/Cavil have planned for Warhammer 40k first.

The fact that Hans and Henry's wild adventure made it up there should say something. Glad it's getting the notice.

Because thanks to tRump for the way things are currently, my bet is
512gb - $599
1TB - $699 (can't remember if they stated 1 or 2tb).

Now the price of the Steam Frame is what I'm super curious about as I waited since the Oculus Quest 1 for Valve's take on it.

I caught the live stream right at the end where he was requesting a refund. Panned back to a couple areas to get context, and his face spoke volumes. I'm sure the multiplayer is what it is every @#$&ing time, but my gods did that campaign look so horrendously bad. All that just to reset up Warzone.

Get volume one of this and find out.

The official sequel to New Vegas. Sad to see what happened to the Kings.

Can't wait!

At least $499-$599 for the lower storage, and then $699 for the 1tb, hopefully at most...maybe Because holy crap that will still be so much cheaper than a lowend gaming laptop.

"There are two different Steam Machine SKUs - a 512MB edition and a 2TB one."

When you rush the article lol

The inclusion of a SD card reader that the Frame will have forever cements me not ever going back to FB/Meta. Loved my Oculus Quest 1 back then, but I kept saying the day Valve introduce their take on it, they will get me back to VR finally.

Just need to know the price for both SKUs now.

Post that Steam Frame announcement, anything from Meta:

Depends on the game/game engine, and the optimization effort of the developer.

Basically all PS4 versions of games run well enough. Then indie stuff like KCD2 perform amazingly at different options. BGIII runs ok enough, but it could be better. Anything using UE5 is 50/50. UE4 titles run great.

"not ready to discuss the future of Steam Deck yet"

That gives me hope for a Deck 2 then (at least I'm hoping this is the case). Been tempted to get an OLED model for awhile, but been holding out to see what they have planned.
November 14, 2025 at 2:40 PM
You can at least plug the SteamFrame up to your PC (via USB-C into GPU), and it'll still work right? That's why I bothered with an Oculus Quest 1 back then.
November 13, 2025 at 4:30 PM
It'll probably be near the SteamFrame3 or 4 when Valve develops something that has that level of immersion and visual fidelity all contained in a HMD.
November 13, 2025 at 4:02 PM
For those who bought/invested into it, just keep the dang thing especially if you went through all the trouble to set it all up in the first place. You're probably still going to have the best and authentic and immersive VR set up for years anyways.

Enjoyed the Battletech video, especially that ending cutoff lol.
November 13, 2025 at 3:13 PM
Ask yourself what's stopping the obligatory holiday, birthday, hell the marketing for sales for the every person? That is where Sony Nintendo excel at.
November 12, 2025 at 10:42 PM
Just expect it to make people scratch their heads at it first, or just come to terms with it akin to the Steam Deck.

Because that's what current politics and inflation does to current tech.
November 12, 2025 at 9:03 PM
It still has a purpose like any dock does for a laptop.
November 12, 2025 at 9:01 PM
It won't though for consoles. Sony and Nintendo still and will make absolute bank with console hardware generations regardless.

Like all Nintendo has to do is announce the [insert weird Nin-like named device] with a new Mario, Zelda, or whatever exclusive title, and pre-orders start immediately.
November 12, 2025 at 8:57 PM
I kept saying that when Valve announces a new wireless HMD (ala Quest) I would finally be excited about VR once again.

Well, here we are! Also the fact that it has a SD Card reader, which is already a hard hand-slap at FB/Meta.

Can't freaking wait!

Well at least they still share a lot of plastic
