There are also many bookstores. Trident and several more on Halifax side, John W. Doull (old books, new management/cleaned up) and Dartmouth Book Exchange (big used bookstore with seating) across the water.

- Take the ferry to Alderney Landing and get the fish and chips at Evan's Seafood. Great view of the ships.
- Halifax Central Library is nice, neat view up top and has a couple of cafes.
- Halifax Citadel is really cool. Natural History Museum is sadly between main exhibits.
- Peggy's Cove day trip?
