I’m close with a lot of voice actors and I can’t see how it has any impact on them whatsoever. It’s not taking their jobs, they will be paid. It’s a tool that means a solo dev doesn’t have to put his own voice where it doesn’t belong - for a female AI character. Your concern is noted.

It’s really a shame that any gamer would make a snap judgment instead of considering the colossal effort it involves for a solo developer to make and release a game.

It means early development has used an AI voice for scratch audio (placeholder) that will be replaced with actors later on.

When the game is released, that Steam description on AI use will be updated.
