I’m anti-gen-ai art. I think part of appreciating art is appreciating the artist and the work they have put in for your enjoyment. I think contemporary art often fails when this contract isn’t fulfilled (eg banana on a wall). Worse, if people are fooled too often then will just turn it all off.

Congrats Anora! So rarely do I agree with the best picture winner, but I loved this movie. In addition to being very good, it’s a very fun watch. If you haven’t seen it, check it out!

Why are people saying the stock marked "tanked" today? S&P 500 is down 1.5% and Nasdaq down 3%. Both are higher than they were on Jan 1st.

It’s possible Bytedance is doing a great job manipulating Trump. They went dark early because Trump was saying “maybe” he’s enact the extension. They got him to commit to doing it. Now they have 90 days to get the new Congress to repeal the ban.
