the new SIM card law means that us foreigners have to go get our documents checked in government offices. the Moscow government has decided to stop foreigners using the offices in the centre of the city for certain services, so we're all being funnelled out to the suburbs. nice

even worse is that the internet provider (lovit) is a subsidiary of the company who built the housing complex (Pik), and they won't let any other internet providers in as competition
