Luke Edwards classic - bsky.app/profile/jonn...
If the Joao Pedro link being pushed by Luke Edwards is a smokescreen - like the Barella > Tonali links - who could this be for?

I like Luke, but he often seems to be used to peddle red herrings lol #NUFC

Absolutely. Questions on fees involved need to be measure on how many years you get and the cost per-season, rather than total fee. £4M per season compared to £40M is a lot more palatable

Nope. Not even worth considering

He is good on Football Manager though! 😂

What is there to be resolved though, he is our player and Liverpool haven’t bid. There’s not much else to do atm other than him agreeing a new contract but that won’t make it stop
June 26, 2025 at 9:12 AM
Exactly what the media and Liverpool want. Just don’t get baited by it, unless he comes out and says anything then it’s just gossip
June 26, 2025 at 9:01 AM
He does love him too
June 25, 2025 at 1:23 PM
Gordon even came out and said he would like to see Guehi sign for Newcastle
June 25, 2025 at 12:17 PM
Was a video last year where both Geuhi and Gordon each said that they were best mates in the England camp (Curtis Jones wasn’t in the squad at the time)

Depends what you’re measuring it on. If it’s the quality of the players and outcomes in competitions, a league cup win and champions league spot, not too bad. If it’s based on FFP then probably a different way of looking but don’t think you can criticise who they have brought in
June 16, 2025 at 7:34 PM
That’s the negative way to look at it. But they have gotten every transfer right so far even if it doesn’t look right at first.

If we’re disappointed about spending £60m on a player then we’re in a good spot 😂
June 16, 2025 at 7:19 PM
No, but the way transfers work now are different than what they used to be. If you’re gonna get 5-6 years out of him then that’s about £10M per season, which is a better way to look at it. Shows how much value Schär was
June 16, 2025 at 4:36 PM
Well that settles it then, don’t know what they’re waiting for 😂
June 16, 2025 at 1:58 PM
Osula could easily be the versatile attacker that we’ve been looking at, seems to do well on the wings. Ferguson a different profile and like you say allows us to spend more on other areas
June 16, 2025 at 1:55 PM
Not a bad shout that, Brighton more likely to sell but still think he will cost a decent amount. Then again if he couldn’t get into a striker less West Ham team you are worried if he has just dropped off a cliff

Tempting
June 16, 2025 at 12:37 PM
It’s whatever you make of it. Pretty normal for people to leave jobs every now and again. The Mitchell situation was more of a cause for concern but what can you do. The world isn’t burning around us, but hop on over to Twitter if you want to fill yourself with unnecessary anxiety 😂
June 16, 2025 at 12:23 PM
That was my thought, but also think Isak will say he is happy with 14 and is making his own legacy or something like that
June 16, 2025 at 12:19 PM
He was U21 coach and now is a first team coach at the biggest team in Czech Republic. Its not about the team or league it’s about him developing his experience, good luck to him - it’s not that big of a deal 😂
June 16, 2025 at 12:18 PM
Osula needed to prove he deserves to play, which he is doing at u21 level. He probably didn’t do enough in his cameos and training, but this is the outcome we want. It’s not that Howe is thick and didn’t see it, he has made him work for it.Same with Gordon, Hall and Bruno to name a few

I think this is a very clever post… Not by the Reuben Brothers but Memecastle 😂
