Aw, thank you! He was the only BR roo out of my neighbor's mixed flock. My partner saw him and knew right away that was the one he wanted. He's excited to see what the offspring from our hens will look like once we start hatching their eggs

We're hopeful that's the case! He's still young, so I'm remaining cautious in the event that he randomly turns into a human-hating demon. 😆 He's been lovely thus far. Not a lap chicken by any means, but no problematic behavior that I've noticed. He even alerted everyone to an owl the other night!
