As an aside, we (and a lot of our friends) have not flown the Flag at all this year and we used to be the first on our street.
Otoh, neighbors are doing holiday decorations early and leaving them up late. It was Halloween until Thanksgiving 😅

Yep. America has a serious illness right now. We're doing what we can but too many people ignored a lot for too long.

It was very good. Had the usual problems driving but the weather worked out so well. Had dinner at the Vista Steakhouse (next to the Kon Tiki, which is closed for remodelling) and it was cheaper than some of the casual dining we do here in Sunnyvale.
We're already planning for next Thanksgiving!

We just got home from Pismo Beach. 1st day hit 80, hi 60's and no clouds throughout our stay. Even caught a moon set for the first time ever in 61 years! (Samsung Galaxy S25 in night mode)
