The way you did the little heart seems like it’s got a really short stitch length, and a wide stitch, that’s what you wanna do around letters if you end up doing them or else the letters edges will fray :)

So when I do letters and I’m applique-ing them onto something, I just keep my “stitch length” really short (and kinda wide) so it’s sorta like embroidery.
