I popped into the new Real Bedford coffee shop this morning and there were some US bitcoin people in there, one wearing a large 'Bitcoin is for everyone' badge. I thought I'd stumbled into an Amway breakout room.
To be fair though, the coffee was excellent.

Admittedly a small data point, but if the Canucks played every game like they play the last 60 seconds of regulation they'd have a season of 180-0 wins.

Same in the UK - it encourages parties to alter/pick policies for short term poll boosts and gives the media something irrelevant to focus on.
