I still need to read the supporting data, but I'm struck that the framing is not "treatment of people" but rather "the People putting forward their own questions & agenda." Ethical principles in aDNA work (in part b/c of Indigenous researchers' activism) are maturing. cc: @nativebio.bsky.social
