I'm playing devil's advocate, due to interest. If he couldn't stack the deck when he was president, how was he able to do it as a private citizen? (not saying he didn't, just interested in the mechanics).

Genuinely interested. If the Republicans are so out of touch, why were they voted in so strongly?

I think Trump doesn't live in reality - he lives in Putin's alternative reality (one which hates America). Which makes it even more baffling as to why he got some many "patriot's" votes.

I know and it's good to know. But he's has 4 years in power and he can do massive power since the Republicans also control both houses. Following the Putin playbook, there may not be a democracy left in 4 years.

He didn't win by a landslide, but he had a huge disinformation campaigns being run on all social media by Musk and Putin, and possibly other sources too. Without that, there's no way he would have won.

Agreed. But those are factors being created by the Trump's and Musk's. Twitter was trying to flag questionable posts to give people an idea when to double check things. Thatvwas what Musk objevted to and removed. He's creating AI for the same purpose, to control and misinform.

I agree it's generally good. But Trump and Musk are deliberately prolific and know most people don't fact-check. They are tool which spread mass disinformation. I don't think Trump would have been reelected if twitter had not been sold to Musk and turned into a propaganda machine.

In fairness the Internet is one of the main places for disinformation. Why do you think Musk and trump have social media platforms. Musk doesn't care about free speech - his campaign is to protect him from the consequences of abusing that freedom. He wanted twitter to spread misinformation.

This is excellent. We all need to learn from each other's experiences and try to put this into action. I will certainly take this on board, and thank you for your efforts. Every success counts.

Well done. My heart goes out to you, but persistence and teaching how to verify facts can go a long way. If everyone does what you do with 1 radical, the swing would be immense with time and energy.

Of only everyone would perform such a public service.

You're right. But many are more fearful of war than they are of liberalism. And trump is pushing the world in that direction. It's very sobering when faced with the prospect of war.

Also they're basically out of reserves of yuan so can't pay for Chinese goods. Economically they're not doing as good as the numbers seem. They're running on fumes.
