I've been in Bristol long enough to remember it as Dingle's Triangle but Dingles didn't arrive until 1952.
Perhaps it wasn't even Triangle shaped, although the Royal Promenade would have been there when William was knocking about.

When i read this last night i thought that Amanda had given birth to Stef, or vice versa, on a bench in Queen Square.
