From the standpoint of a US servicemember, it is thier duty and obligation: whether or not it is a right is irrelevant. For a former servicemember like Sen. Kelly, yes it is his right both as a citizen and especially as a MOC to speak out.

Rather than "move on" and throw it away, all we can do is try and interpret what it means in light of today's reality. We need to remake the Supreme Court and dilute the voice of the justices who clearly rule based on what their political allies want.

That said, a reasonable interpretation of this is that the National Guard is each state's well regulated militia, that is not directly controlled by the federal government. So yes, not guns for everybody no matter what.

Being capitalized, I believe "free State" refers to the entire country, not the states individually (clarifying due to wording of your question).

Most people do have empathy. By highlighting what ICE has done to the spouse of a soldier, it cuts across MAGA loyalties. They profess to support the troops, but this illustrates Trump doesn't really care. Hard core MAGA can live with that cognitive dissonance, but not all will. Excellent work.

Too many are assuming Glasheen is stupid. While many are incompetent, most in this administration understand exactly what they are doing. They are counting on the American people being too stupid to see through their lies. I'm thankful for MOCs like Thompson who make them squirm.

I have an engineering degree. I took Art History 101 to fulfill a humanities credit. It was one of the best classes I had in college, period.
