Here you go Chris, currently struggling to write the story of the 'Teesside Pioneers'...ps got some good ideas from your Battle of the Lys video on YouTube, the 12th Yorks were part of the 'Forgotten Fourtieth' a one time Bantam Div. ended up with 2nd Portuguese Div. on their right flank...

This is St Germaines churchyard, a 13th century church unused and partly demolished. Stands overlooking the cliffs of ancient Cleveland on the North East coast of England. I was recording the war graves of ww1 for my blog www.talesfrommyshed.wordpress.com maybe visit and read more about them...

A long way from home...Flight Lieutenant Arthur Cecil Doucet, Enlisted in Canada and travelled to England, training at N02 Defensive Fighter School, Marske By The Sea, Yorkshire. He died in a flying accident and Rests in the churchyard of St Germaine, on the clifftop overlooking the Tees Bay...#WW1
