Second, training matters. When an officer does something inconsistently with what they've been taught (or what they should have been taught), that's a telling set of facts.

A few things stand out...first, a cop's immediate account of an incident is critical. That's key since in some many cases (especially older cases) we see that internal investigations take place after a period of delay, allowing officers to get their stories together.

For example, how do you explain to a “legal expert” that 50 year old Supreme Court precedent tells us that this is an impossible ask?

It's also based on total up-is-down thinking. While It's fair to argue about the utility of consent decrees for promoting reform, claiming that there is no "adequate" factual or legal basis to support intervention is just absurd.

I don't have a sense of public perception of SCOTUS allowing the trans ban to proceed, but I suspect that understanding how it will be carried out--literally combing through medical records to search for gender dysphoria diagnoses/treatment--will strike a chord. www.nbcnews.com/politics/tru...

Also, small point, but why does the former chief law enforcement for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania not know that it is a JUDGE (not a JURY) who imposes a sentence...and, relatedly, that it was the JUDGE who ordered covid-related home confinement in the first place?
