(2 of 2) David wanted a photograph of the two of them with his huge pig (whose name I cannot recall.) Marianne had no qualms hopping into the pigsty with the pig and David, even though it was snowing hard and bitterly cold.

I was saddened to hear of the loss yesterday of Marianne Faithfull. I took this photograph of her in 1995 in upstate NY, when she was visiting a close friend of mine David Dalton, her biographer and Rolling Stone author. (1 of 2)
