While cutting a bunch of short lengths of cording, I got frustrated with trying to handle the spool and decided to try popping it on my thread cone holder. Turns out that was the perfect choice and now I have another fun use for the cone holder.

All 3 of these spools are the same material (100% polyester) from the same manufacturer (Gutermann). The spool on the left is the same price as the one in the middle and a quarter of the yardage. The spool on the right is twice the price of the one in the middle and is the same yardage.

In celebration of the end of my time at one job and in preparation for my wardrobe restyling for my new one, I went on a little trip to M&L Fabrics. As always, they had all the right sorts of things I was after, and something I wasn't looking for but needed in this awesome football player fabric

I'm a huge proponent of knowing how to do things with minimal tooling, but also really into the right tool for the job when it's worth it. This little fucker is worth it. I *hate* making bias tape by hand, but the magic of the bias tape folder makes it not only bearable, it makes it enjoyable for me
