It's a pretty nasty virus, highly contagious. We think it's likely that Hinako, our new cat, may have been carrying it and brought it home, but I'm not sure. Either way, it's been an expensive and emotionally draining experience but I'm hoping all 3 will recover, so it'll be worth it.

A big contributor to my sense of self worth has been my wife. She listens, encourages me, and has been there for me whenever I've really needed support, even though I personally feel I've not always been present myself. She'd say otherwise but I'll always strive to be the best I can be for her.

I'm living more for the moment and spending way less time thinking about tomorrow. Staying off social media has really helped. I've been experiencing a lot of self-doubt and lack of confidence, both in my body and my emotional well-being, and I've made a lot of progress.
