Database guy, a seat for cats, and have had cab rides in Class 37 locos than most (67 different trains before you ask.)
"Love addiction"... Is there the dead opposite to that? Just wondering.

Amiga 500 keyboard?

Ah, 37800 - Cassie. A loco so laid back it once spent 6 months lying on it's side... (See 37143, Marine Colliery Jan 1975)

A month later... Royal Mail annouces the cost of 1st & 2nd class post to rise...

You need to drive one of those things; can cook your sausage rolls at the same time.

Not going to like me but to 60mph my money is on the class 195. (Runs, hides and starts throwing sausage rolls everywhere)

I'm 57. Getting a NHS flu jab on Saturday but not one for Covid. I look after my 91yo mum, and we have carers coming in 4 times a day. Don't know if any of the carers have had either jab, and although my mum is getting both (soon I hope) I hate to think what happens if I get Covid...

Guess none of you have ever taken a 16kg Maine Coon out for a walk. You didn't walk him, he walked you; he was a unit of a cat. And you had to walk him as he needed the stimulus of going outside but he was such a large moggie a lead was required. His best animal friends were 3 female Samoyed dogs

All to do with MAPA - Make America PAY Again. Politics aside, its built-in obsolescence - aka make a product, rely on software to run it then after a set time deliberately "refactor" software to make product work like brown stuff. Like slow the product down, remove functionality, add a feature/bug.

The website refused to authenticate me on the day of the order - although was fine the day before - and the app which I had to use because it wanted to compare my headshot with anything used as a photo ID, like a driving licence. Go figure.

Good to see; ordered one after having a fight with Paypal who wanted a scan of my driving licence! Only been using them since 2010...

You scared me for a second - I thought we were getting class 153 & 156 trains back again...

Of course, the card is going to cost a mighty wack and need to be re-issued every x-1 years, and will be linked to our favourite cental government database, which when I checked my info, was about 40% wrong. I'm a Database Admin with 30+ years experience.

Donald Twat strikes again...
September 25, 2025 at 9:22 AM
Apparently there's lots of evidence that Donald Twat has lost his marbles. And other things too.

Trump has a dangerous gob. What's left of the mush he calls his brain feeds his gob utter BS. There are lies, total lies, and then Trump.

I understand when asked about how to make a sausage roll it's when you give a train (normally a Flirt) a push....

If that was in the US they would write it off and give you 25% of the market value! As for fixing yellow Corsa's - no idea I'm afraid.

When they rewrite a Bible to align it to their version of faith, then start calling theirs "The Bible" and state it's what's in said book as gospel; then the real "fun" will begin.

H&S and BR would have had kittens if they knew what was going on between March, Ipswich & Stratford. There were quite a few youngsters driving everything from 03s, 08s, 26s, 31s, 33s, 37s, 40s & 47s at that time, although I didn't know anyone do a 40 mile trip like myself.

Congrats! (Wonders if I was safe to drive 37109 light engine between Oulton Broad South & Woodbridge in July 1981 - supervised of course... I kid you not.)

I remember 1976 as being the year when I went from freckle-less to being completely covered in the things. You could draw a map of the world on my arm if you joined-the-dots correctly...
