You’ve been told ‘scrapping Net Zero will reduce the cost of living’, so I asked X users how much the average U.K household pays per day to deliver a clean, independent energy system.

💷 9% thought £7.85.

💷 7% £5.16.

💷 14% £3.09.

💷 70% £1.63.

None were correct.

It’s 47p.

The bumper says 'rugged working man'.

But the cargo bed says ‘cosplay builder with soft hands’.

Time to ban these fragile-man-mobiles from our cities.

My brother is an electrician who works in offshore wind.

He sent me this photo of the largest turbine installation vessel in the world.

Skilled jobs, good pay, and secure futures.

While fossil fuels shed jobs and destroy the planet, renewables are delivering for the working class.

You can’t afford a coal mine.

You can’t afford a gas turbine.

You can’t afford an oil rig.

Only fossil fuel states and billionaires can.

But you can afford a solar power station on your roof.

Now, ask yourself why you encounter so much anti-renewable energy propaganda.

I asked the Director of the murkily-funded Net Zero Watch why the fossil fuel industry invests so much money in propaganda, junk science, and misinformation.

This was his response.

When people show you what they are, believe them.

Fossil fuel lobbyists are now talking gas up as a ‘green’ fuel.

To be absolutely clear, this is nonsense.

Coal full life cycle emissions: 800-1,700g CO2e/kWh

Gas full life cycle emissions: 290-930g CO2e/kWh

Wind power full life cycle emissions: 5-15g CO2e/kWh

Cars the U.K are up to 55% larger today than they were in the 1970s and there are twice the number of motors on our roads as there were 30 years ago, but anti-Low Traffic Neighbourhood and anti-cycle lane campaigners keep claiming they 'cause congestion'.

Okay.

Two houses on the same street, both with drives.

Yet just one of them reduces flood risk, retards heatwaves, and lights up the neighbourhood with welcoming greenery.

We’ve lost millions of front gardens to overpaving in recent decades. We need to reverse that trend urgently.

Onshore wind farms currently occupy around 0.02% of the U.K.

To place that in context, Jeremy Clarkson’s farm occupies around 10% of the total area of ALL onshore wind turbines in the U.K.

Many of these turbines are also keeping British farmers in business.

5/ Final point - there’s a reason the fossil fuel industry doesn’t bother attacking nuclear power:

It’s absolutely no threat to the fossil fuel industry.
October 24, 2025 at 9:18 AM
1/ In 2024, Flamanville 3, France’s newest nuclear plant, came online after a 12 year delay and four-fold cost increase from €3.3 billion to €13.2 billion.

The €10 billion cost overrun alone could have delivered twice Flamanville’s output from solar power…a decade earlier.

The Palestinians have been bombed and starved into submission, tens of thousands of people are dead, and entire cities have been reduced to rubble.

Trump didn’t ‘end’ any war; the Israelis have won one. Maybe total victory was the only way a resolution could be achieved, but Trump is no peacemaker.
