The cost of HS2 would have put separated cycle tracks on just about every motorway, A road, B Road and distributor road in England and Wales.

Why are you trying to reduce disruption for drivers? Disruption and congestion are the very things that encourage modal shift. It might send the message that it’s better to travel by train to Birmingham rather than drive. This very expensive operation will only reinforce driving behaviour.

1987. Family of four to a campsite in Normandy in the Renault 4. Dashboard gear lever and you could actually repair the engine if it broke down. Heaven.

Love Delft. Great photo but better in a way with the market in full swing. Bought lots of cheese before cycling off to Hook to get ferry home. And this is Amersfoort town square.

We put our own benches onto the street in Brixton, S London. No problems. No ASB. Just lots of people wanting somewhere to pause for a moment in their busy lives.

This is tremendously good news. It now needs to be followed up by the police increasing investment into their teams handling these cases. At the moment, many cases are not prosecuted due to lack of staff time.
