I haven't done Silverstone since 2022. I really want to go back, as it's such an amazing event, but at these prices? I'd almost rather go to one of the European races instead.

How on earth can they justify charging that much?

Did the SBB dining car back in May. Slightly on the expensive side, but still absolutely worth it - particularly with the stunning scenery en route!

How did they get away with this 😂

It just doesn't make sense. Are we as a country not learning anything from what's happening in the States?

Oh, and let's say there's a very good reason why most people buy mint sauce instead of making it from scratch...😂

Only five months since I moved into my own house, and I just thought today would be a good excuse to try it and do something slightly outside my comfort zone. Got some leftovers for tomorrow, too. Not sure what I'll do, but I'll see what comes to mind.

United Kingdom

The UK are sending something atypical this year, but it’s good! The harmonies are stunning, and they can sing live, so no issues there. The only concern is the staging, but I have faith that the BBC will sort it. Mid-table seems realistic, and top half is entirely possible.

Switzerland

It’s a ballad, but it’s a really nice one that feels so pure in its simplicity. Zoë’s vocals are delightful, and this won't need much in the way of staging so it stands out in Basel. It doesn’t matter how well this does – Switzerland should be really proud of themselves for this entry.

Spain

This wasn’t well-received after Benidormfest, but I think that was unfair. Powerful vocals, catchy song, and it lends itself to some really good choreography in Basel. Will it win? It’s unlikely, if I’m honest, but I still really rather like it.

Italy

It feels unusual for Italy to choose a ballad, but it’s quite nice, and a refreshing change of pace. The story behind the song is touching, but I’m not certain how viewers will relate to it. Still, it’s a good entry, and Italy can be proud of themselves once again.

Germany

First wholly German song since 1998? Wow. The national final was bizarre, but at least a good song came out of it, and I’m glad Germany are taking a risk once again. Will it pay off? Well, who knows, but I’d be rather disappointed if it ends up in the bottom 5.
