Of course not. We're too busy spending our bribes from the publisher.
Do video game reviewers "check in" with their colleagues at other outlets when they're about to give a 10/10

My first issue as deputy editor. There's a big roundup of 100 games to watch from SGF and related events, leading up to our cover feature on Pragmata. Plus a feature on open-world games, reviews of Death Stranding 2, Mario Kart World, Mindseye and more.
Here are the retail and subs covers of Edge 413, out today. Inside, we talk to Pragmata leads Cho Yonghee and Naoto Oyama as they enter the home stretch of a lengthy mission into space. Capcom’s sci-fi adventure heads up our summer preview special, featuring 100 games to watch.

New Edge - and a great big feature on Big Walk.
In Edge 412, out today, we wander the wilds of Australia in Big Walk, the new project from Untitled Goose Game creator House House. Our 16-page hands-on cover story digs deep into its unique approach to multiplayer adventuring, delivering a game unlike anything we’ve seen before.

Job change - I'm now deputy editor at Edge. As before, I'm dealing mainly with the reviews and previews sections, but now with a few extra bits on top.

The latest Edge with this fantastic cover marking an in-depth feature on Death Stranding 2.
Edge 411 is out today, featuring Death Stranding 2: On The Beach. For our 16-page cover story, Simon Parkin visits Kojima Productions to play the studio’s most ambitious game to date and discuss its creation with Hideo Kojima, who explains why it is more Aliens than Alien.

In Edge 410, published today, we visit Bloober Team’s HQ for exclusive hands-on access to Cronos: The New Dawn, and discover how this mysterious, time-hopping survival horror blends unique weaponry and creature concepts with influences ranging from Dead Space to 12 Monkeys.

Conversely, I thought the whole thing could do with some major editing. While there are constant mechanical shifts, they're often quite superficial, and /the way in which/ you're asked to collaborate hardly changes in the main levels.

Split Fiction keeps it fabulously fresh for its full, 14-hour duration. With no idea sticking around long enough to get stale before making way for the next, it’s a victory of imagination and restraint in equal measure.

We made another Edge, this one with some expansive Doom art on the cover, and an equally beefy feature inside.
Other stuff includes previews of AC: Shadows and Commandos: Origins, features about game secrets, Warframe, Croteam and the Making of Arco, and reviews of KCDII, Avowed and Civ VII.

Great to see a surge in funding in the last day or so on this. It looks like there's a chance it could reach its goal.
If you haven't got round to backing it yet, maybe now's the time.
After years away from game dev, I couldn’t stay silent about my people’s dehumanization. I made Dreams on a Pillow 🍉a game inspired by a famous Palestinian folktale about the 1948 Nakba.

I’m crowdfunding it now—please back & share!

Because we are not allowed to tell our Story.

The Palestinian-made game Dreams on a Pillow is 413 dollars and 13 backers short of respectively 60K raised and 1,000 supporters. Who wants to help push it over towards those milestones?

We made another Edge. Issue 405 dives deep into Reanimal, considers 20 years of World of Warcraft and explores the making of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. There are previews of Civ VII, Herdling and Skate Story. And you get a fine calendar featuring images from the 30-year history of PlayStation.
