Any kid has the right to call that parent whatever the fuck they want because they have been injured by someone whose entire job it is to do the opposite. That is why these conversations are important to witness. The podcast is showing exactly what so many kids across the US are dealing with.

This is all true. But the issue is we cannot and should not police/criticize a child’s honest and injured response to a parent wishing them dead because the idol president they follow loyally said so.
