That’s exactly the point - soccer exists outside of the 26 markets that MLS exists in and there’s belief that soccer can thrive in a European model rather than a traditional American model. The people of Indianapolis, Sacramento, Omaha etc. want top line soccer in their city - not just on their tv.

Tech debt is just extra work in the codebase they have to fix before they can add it. It’s kind of like when you need something in a storage box at the back of your attic with a bunch of other boxes in the way. You need to do some unwinding before you can get to it.
