I mean.
It's not a bad idea to go to the local Walmart or big box retailer and buy lots of consumables now. From toothpaste to soap, anything you can find storage space for, buy before they have to replenish inventory.
Even if it's made in the USA , they will jack up the price and blame it on tariffs.

This is actually so scary. These immigration officers just look like random people and they just converge all of the sudden—could absolutely happen to any of us while walking down the street. This is a Ph.D student? Like…what?

Today is a decently good day. A slight pause to work madness for now, I get to see Lawrence Brownlee in recital for $25 which should actually be illegal. Healing well so far from wisdom tooth extraction. Woohoo!

I made it. Despite wisdom tooth removal less than 36 hours ago, I felt well enough. Might be one of the final concerts I get to attend with impending job loss.

All this business I am reading about social security is nonsense. My mom died on 2/18. My dad got a letter yesterday informing him her benefits were ending and he had to repay the February payment because they don’t give a payment in the month someone dies. They know where every dollar is.

They are $8.94 as of yesterday, February 25, when I checked.
18 eggs was $5.87 on January 3rd. Went up to $6.16 a couple weeks later. Yesterday up to $6.89.
This morning, February 7, they are now $8.18.

I do not understand being oblivious to what the minimum wage is…we all need to be aware of this number.
It is $7.25 federally, but some places have it higher. But I think it is just a thing you need to be aware of?
