He has this resolve I can only describe as horny, and I'm not the only one who feels that way.... It was now the last month of senior year, fucking finally. The cool metal of his locker door gently pressed the relief into his forehead. This summer will be first break of his life... but only if he doesn't get put into summer school. One more rash of senioritis would be terminal for his summer plans for he AND his family. Dad hasn't been in the picture for a while. He calls for birthdays, unfortunately. And at 18, Gloss is basically a father to his siblings. Mom works hard, but she never learned how to be emotionally available. But they're giving him a couple weeks off. Nothing but pounding jollof rice and opening graduation cards with rare spending money. That coming September would be the start of his Business Sports major at IWU (His grandparents were covering it if he chose a Christian school.). His soul felt like a small stone, edges smoothed beyond their years. Hefty. Strong. The kids will hang out by the football field until he's done with some much needed scrimmaging. Cramming in the classroom. Cramming on the field. Cramming at home. ALWAYS CRAMMING. Gloss could feel everyone's stares on the back of his neck before he even realized he slammed his locker shut. The warm shame wrapped around his front. By the tame he made it to the little owl's room, the tunnel vision had set in. Even when everything was shapes, his muscle memory could still his fly in two steps. In 6 steps he was unleashed and swinging at the trough urinal. He released his bladder just in time to tighten it again when he heard a little gasp. A small beziered green owl looked twinkishly up Gloss's broad, muscular frame. It was Duo, the dumb owlet.

Imagine wanting a specific shirt, only to see no one made what you wanted. Even this is a big shift from where we are today with fashion, one of the most wasteful industries there is.

This was my first videogame shirt, bought from a Hot Topic in 2005.

Our most ambitious talk yet is researched and written solely by @sasharjones.bsky.social [+a few trusted friends]. Explaining current politics to furries in a structured but enjoyable and accessible way is... challenging.

So I'm thankful I only have to illustrate the entire thing!

I know alt text isn't the place to necessarily unpack this, but the fursona design is about my own relationship to sexual repression, and how this changed what I could or couldn't do with my own body. I was raised in purity culture, so even destigmatizing my own nudity took an immense amount of effort. This character is a manifestation of all that inner work I had to do on myself, along with the inner work that is yet to be done. Thanks for reading.
